week 2 - Strategic Planning for Competitive Advantage

the Strategic Planning of chili's as well as any other restaurant is to seat the customer(s), serve them food/drinks the way they want them and make sure they leave happy. Strategic Planning is the managers job he need to make sure the restaurant flows in a good rhythm. to due this he/she observers the waiter/waitress in different kinds of working environment and determines what sifts to have the employees work.

week 14- Segmenting and Targeting Markets

(The Dundies)

from my personal experience i feel that chili's target market is couples, married couples with kid(s) and young people because they offer cheap food, drinks, and a very casual environment. chili's bar target market is young adults who like sports and parties.      

week 13 - Developing and Managing Products

 

chili's has many products such as appetizers, soups, salads, sides, sandwiches, kickin' chicken , seafood , burgers , fajitas , steaks , guiltsless grill (healthy food) , baby back ribs, Beverages , desserts , draft beers. but part of selling a product is knowing when a meal is going to sell or not. in the many years i have been going to chili's the only 2 additions to the chili's menus that i noticed was the habanero chicken fingers and the buffalo chicken fingers. i haven't been to the bar at chili's sense i turned 21 so i can't specify on the stuff that has changed in the many years i have been there.  

 

week 3: social responsiblity

i feel that with chili's and with any restaurant that the waiters/waitress is to serve the customer food, drink, and desserts in a professional manor. usually this is how we decide if we will go back to the restaurant or not. but also with any restaurant everything does not always as planned there are issues in the kitchen and if it's crowded. there was one situation where the service was slow do to chili's being overcrowded  but our sever kept on coming over and apologizing and when he gave us our check he also gave us a coupon for a free meal the next time we go to chili's.
